Prerequisites

To read data via ADS, an IPC with a TwinCAT Runtime (XAR) is needed. Also a PLC program must be activated and the Runtime must be in Run mode. This is the case, if the XAR icon in the taskbar is green.

XAR Run mode

Hopit Edge must be running on a machine in the same network, or on the IPC directly.

ADS Route​

To enable ADS communication between hopit and the XAR, an ADS route must be configured.

This is only necessary, if the XAR and hopit Edge is not installed on the same computer. If it is on the same computer, you can skip this section.
