System Time Sync

The System Time Sync service synchronizes the system time of the device it is running on each hour periodically. To activate the System Time Sync service, switch to the Settings TAB in the web app, select Enabled for this service and click Submit.

Default Settings

By default, the System Time Sync service is disabled. When nothing is selected in the timezone drop-down menu, the System Time Sync service uses the timezone which is currently set at the local system for synchronization.

The default NTP server used for system time synchronization is time.windows.com.

Features

The timezone and the NTP server for synchronization can be changed within the System Time Sync service settings.

The timezones in the drop-down menu are represented as [ID, Display Name], for example [W. Europe Standard Time, (UTC+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna]. In the settings JSON file, the system timezone is only represented by its ID, in this case W. Europe Standard Time.
